The main casualty of this transformed environment will be privacy. Recent battles over privacy have been dominated by fights over warrantless electronic surveillance or CCTV; the coming years will see debates over data-mining and biometric identification. Modern threats increasingly require that governments collect such information, governments are increasingly able to collect it, and citizens increasingly accept that they will collect it. The point of this book is to shift focus away from questions of whether governments should collect information and onto more problematic and relevant questions concerning its use. By reframing the relationship between privacy and security in the language of a social contract, mediated by a citizenry who are active participants rather than passive targets, the book offers a framework to defend freedom without sacrificing liberty.

Vendo questa chitarra Squier, prodotta in Indonesia nel nello stabilimento della Cort Guitars (Cor-Tek). Le Deluxe Stratocaster erano modelli meglio rifiniti della serie Standard di casa Squier, in particolar modo quell'anno vennero prodotte Stratocaster con una laminatura per il top fiammata (FMT, Flame Maple Top) o marezzata (QMT, Quilt Maple Top), battipenna perlato e finissaggi burst particolari. Questa chitarra è stata la mia prima chitarra elettrica, acquistata a Roma da Your Music: è a tutti gli effetti una Stratocaster Standard a 22 tasti, Quilted Maple Top, tastiera di palissandro (di un bel tono scuro), colore Black Cherry Burst. La chitarra è in condizioni ottime, suonata sempre in casa, ponte e meccaniche in ottimo stato. Segnalo un unico difetto, dovuto a una disattenzione: la chitarra ha un'ammaccatura di piccole dimensioni, dovuta a una caduta a pochi centimetri da terra a causa dell'apertura della cerniera della custodia (il difetto è solo estetico e ben visibile nella foto, non incide affatto sul suono). Si tratta ovviamente di una chitarra di fascia bassa, da studio o da usare come muletto, ad ogni modo è molto ben fatta e qualitativamente di gran lunga superiore rispetto alle attuali produzioni cinesi. Ciao. Ti propongo un giradischi di gamma alta Yamaha, più precisamente uno Yamaha YP-D6. Un giradischi audiophile di notevole impatto visivo e in condizioni generali pari al nuovo. L'ho equipaggiato con una testina/puntina (NUOVA) Shure M70b e il risultato è splendido: ottima sinergia! Lo chassis, di grandi dimensioni, è perfetto e il coperchio ancor di più: è come nuovo. Per quanto concerne l'elettronica è un giradischi a trazione diretta con controllo stroboscopico e doppio Pitch Control, uno per i 33 e l'altro per i 45 giri. Il lifter è dolcissimo e estremamente preciso. La rotazione è stata controllata con lo stroboscopio: perfetta!! Ne incollo due dati tecnici presi dalla rete e, sempre preso dalla rete, ti invierò il manuale d'uso e manutenzione e quello tecnico. Ultima considerazione: è siglato YP... denominazione dei giradischi di alta gamma Yamaha e, tra questi, si posiziona nella TOP TEN... detto questo credo di non dover aggiungere nulla.
