Incisione (stampa) di Pietro Bonato (), pittore e incisore italiano del Barocco, allievo di Giovanni Volpato, amico di Canova, che, nel , ne fece incisioni su rame (acquaforte e bulino) con la leggenda "FRANCESCO BARBIERI DETTO IL GUERCINO DIPINSE / DOMENICO DEL FRATE DISEGNÒ / PIETRO BONATO VENETO BASSANESE INCISE ROMA /...". Il Guattani nel parla di questo lavoro nelle "Memorie Enciclopediche Romane", affermando che il Bonato stava incidendo le lastre copiando due opere originali del Guercino, che si trovavano nel palazzo di una famiglia d'origini bolognesi, gli eredi Zagnoni. Si tratta di un'incisione di oltre 200 anni. Dimensioni, senza cornice, cm 56x48. Nelle foto anche l'opera di Giovanni Francesco Barbieri (detto il Guercino). Una copia è visibile presso la Biblioteca Nazionale del Portogallo. Il British Museum ne ospita un'altra, di diverso soggetto. In un'asta da Christie's (24 maggio ), Castillo de Bendinat, Mallorca, una incisione del Bonato di analoghe dimensioni è stata battuta a Ptas). L'opera, naturalmente autentica, viene venduta con cornice di spessore cm 5 e vetro. E' visibile in ogni momento prima dell'eventuale acquisto.
