Among his books are the Almagest, Geography, Optics, Planispherium and Tetrabiblos. The earliest surviving version of Tetrabiblos is the paraphrase attributed to Proclus the Philosopher (). Tetrabiblos (literally, "four books") was long thought to be a complete survey of Greek astrology. Recent research suggests this not to be the case, but Ptolemy's work remains the foundation of western astrology. In particular, his persuasive use of the Tropical Zodiac, rather than the Sidereal, changed western astrology forever. Book 1 of Tetrabiblos defines various technical terms and supplies other information needed by the astrologer. Chapters 9, 10 and 11 detail the influence of fixed stars in various constellations. Book 2 is the astrology of nations and their rulers. Books 3 & 4 are devoted to Natal Astrology. Book 3, chapter 2, explains Ptolemy's method of rectifying the Ascendant. Chapter 10 gives a method for determining life expectancy. Book 4 deals with wealth, rank, employment, marriage, children, death, etc. Published editions of Tetrabiblos traditionally include extracts from the Almagest (a compendium of Greek astronomy), as well as "Ptolemy's Centiloquy," a list of aphorisms, the authorship of which is disputed. Many of the 100 deal with horary astrology. They have been studied by astrologers for centuries. Translations: Gardner () lists four English translations of Tetrabiblos. The Audio-to-MIDI conversion allows you to keep track of the incoming pitch history and/or correction history, giving you the advantages of being on top of things throughout the entire recording session. The Intonator features full MIDI automation making time based pitch shifting a simple operation. Use your keyboard for real-time manual pitch correction simply by hitting the notes to be processed. Dithering The use of dithering is very important when interfacing digitally between audio equipment. When resolution is changed from higher to lower, dithering is necessary to minimize distortion. In the Intonator you have the user friendly TPDF Dithering. The Output resolution of the Intonator is 24 bit, when the receiver of the Intonator signal has a lower resolution, Output Dither must be applied to equal the resolution of the receiver. Window, Attack and Amount These three knobs allow you to individualize the processing in detail. The Window knob determines how close to a particular note the source should be in order to be corrected. The Attack knob conducts the response-time before the correction sets in. This will help preserve the artist's personal touch by e.g. allowing vibrato. The Amount knob sets the amount of correction added to the signal. Manual Pitch Use the Manual Pitch control to add pitch correction by hand. The wheel can also be remote controlled by your keyboard modulation wheel or even provide in-sync changes when locked to a sequencer. The De-esser uses a relative threshold technique. This means that the actual threshold is always set according to the average level of the source signal. Consequently, the De-esser always adapts to the incoming signal and maintains the same threshold to the average level regardless of the Input signal. Adaptive Locut The Adaptive LoCut is a pitch controlled LoCut Filter. Instead of cutting off frequencies under a predetermined value, the Adaptive LoCut filter controls the cut off frequencies dynamically in accordance with the incoming signal. Zero feedback, nessun amplificatore operazionale. Guardate lo schema a blocchi. Il DAC: basato sugli integrati CS + CS. Questo DAC converte i segnali audio digitali coassiali o toslink in analogico canale destro/sinistro. Supporta frequenze di campionamento a KHz e 192Khz. Bit rate: 24-bit formato standard S/PDIF. Filtraggio sull'uscita del DAC: 12db/ottava, anzi che i soliti 6db/ottava. Il pre-amplificatore: due stadi separati, uno per l'ingresso analogico ed uno per l'uscita del DAC. L'alimentatore: integrato all'amplificatore è un alimentatore Switching 12v/5A con l'uscita filtrata con uF che fanno anche da pompa di corrente per avere ottimi spunti di corrente e buona risposta alle basse frequenze. Ingresso Vac con filtro RF. Lo chassis: in legno massello di faggio. Potenziometro volume ALPS, RCA dorati. Il suono: ci sono molte proposte con questo tipo di finale, ritengo che la mia proposta migliora la resa di questo ottimo finale basato sul TA. Specialmente se si utilizza l'ingresso digitale e grazie al pre-amplificatore. Il filtraggio aggiuntivo da a questo amplificatore un suono estremamente pulito ed secondo me molto dolce e preciso, per certi versi, simile a un valvolare. Ottimo per l'ascolto, senza grosse pretese di potenza, per musica classica o elettroacustica. Buona resa con casse acustiche di sensibilità superiore ai 90db. L'utilizzo: grazie all'ingresso S/PDIF, può essere utilizzato in modo di non dover utilizzare un lettore di CD ed usare un archivio musicale, come può essere un disco esterno(HD), collegato ad un'apparecchiatura con ingresso USB ed uscita S/PDIF, come le attuali TV. EIT RawMaterials seeks an Alumni Manager About us EIT RawMaterials, initiated and funded by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union, is the largest consortium in the raw materials sector worldwide. EIT RawMaterials unites more than 120 core and associate partners and 190 project partners from industry, research institutions and higher education from over 20 EU countries. They collaborate on finding new, innovative solutions to improving the raw materials sector along the entire value chain – from extraction to processing, recycling and reuse. The EIT RawMaterials Alumni creates new events, new services and new opportunities for people in the EIT RawMaterials community to continue to connect with each other and increases access to existing EIT RawMaterials events and services. Our mission is to support and complement the work of EIT RawMaterials, add value for individual alumni members, the Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) as a whole and more widely to EIT and the raw materials sector, and to contribute to the long-term legacy of EIT RawMaterials. The alumni manager will: Support EIT RawMaterials in developing the alumni network, promoting interaction with other stakeholders in the EIT RawMaterials communityand in implementing plans for events, information services and working towards a mentoring programme Organise, attend and participate in alumni events Introduce the necessary software platform to manage a database, communications and website Keep members informed and provide tailored news and information through the website, newsletter and social media on events, courses, publications etc (within and beyond EIT RawMaterials) Support the EIT RawMaterials AlumniBoard to implement plans and to manage Board meetings and communications Coordinate closely with the Board and with EIT RawMaterials Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings Maintain and develop relations with EIT and with other EIT KICs and in particular their alumni associations Provide written and/or verbal reports to the Management and Executive Board on regular occasions Travel across Europe.
