Lion (Pietro Paolo Pelandi, born on in Alzano Lombardo - Italy) is a composer and author launched in dance music market during the Eighties. The stage name P. Lion comes from the lion who is the family crest. He began playing and studying piano since the tender age of 5 years and slowly discovered his artistic talent as a composer rather than a virtuoso instrumentalist, attracted by the great emotional and communicative power of music. The experience in the band DREAM, founded in Alzano Lombardo in the early 70's, along with drummer/percussionist and composer/author Noberto Mosconi, drummer Giovanni Marcassoli, guitarist Giorgio Pelliccioli, bassist Stefano Colombelli, keyboardist Massimo Berti (hereinafter WishKey) will convince him more and more to focus on writing songs and deepening of technologies, wearing audio recording. In passed his exams as a composer and author and entered as registered in SIAE, in which became as Associated in with the nomination of the President Roman Vlad. From to had been working as a textile chemist at the MCS Urgnano which gave him the opportunity to travel, especially across Europe and the USA and by these experiences grew the desire to publish some of the many songs that recorded in his small studio. In , in the wake of the newly Italo Dance, released his first single "Happy children" produced by David Zambelli (DJ and owner of the record store American Disco in Bergamo) to whom he submitted a "cassette tape" with 3 demo including the harmonic basis of Happy Children. The record had been realized with Marco Gotti (sax) and Bruno Bergonzi (Simmons drum) at Regson Studio in Milan with the engineer Enzo Maffione. Mixed by Massimo Noé at Baby Studio. Distributed in Italy by Discomagic, within a few months became one of the unforgettable "Evergreen" dance of the Eighties and was bought by Carrere France at MIDEM for worldwide distribution. In he leaved his job as a textile technician and repeated the success with the second single "Dream", especially in the French market, where his two hits remained for years the soundtrack of the two most important TV musical shows TOP30 and TOP50. He lived in France from to , based in Provence, promoting Radio/TV throughout Europe and performing the songs of the first LP â€Å"Springtimeâ€. LA ROLAND TD9 Uno degli strumenti più difficili da riprendere è di sicuro la batteria, essendo il nostro un project studio di piccole dimensioni abbiamo puntato tutto su una macchina che potesse restituire fedelmente l'esecuzione del musicista in tutte le sue sfumature grazie alla grande sensibilità dinamica, unitamente alla possibilità infinita di set di timbri utilizzabili e di interventi di correzione dell'esecuzione in qualsiasi suo aspetto: "A differenza di tutti i sistemi provati in passato la Roland si fa apprezzare per la sensazione fisica e sonora che restituisce, vicinissima a quella che si sperimenta su una batteria acustica reale, questo per merito sia della progettazione dei pad, che del potente modulo sonoro, il quale permette di gestire tutti gli aspetti del mio set con lo stesso approccio usato sullo strumento vero, posso permettermi di accordare le pelli, oppure modificare solo alcuni pezzi del set scegliendo tra una miriade di suoni possibili per trovare quello che meglio si adatta allo stile che sto registrando, posso decidere che suono dovrà avere lo studio di ripresa grazie alla tecnologia di modellazione del dsp interno, il quale mi permette di decidere ad esempio dove posizionare i microfoni o scegliere di quale materiale dovranno essere le pareti della stanza, operando come se fossi fisicamente in una reale sala di ripresa". E.Contreras LA CORREZIONE AMBIENTALE Questo è uno degli aspetti che più bisogna curare nella progettazione di un ambiente finalizzato alla produzione audio, spesso viene invece trascurato, compromettendo così irrimediabilmente la qualità del prodotto. La nostra regia è costruita con i giusti materiali, e utilizza l'equalizzazione digitale per operare in un ambiente acustico il più possibile neutro, questo ha un forte impatto sulla riproducibilità timbrica delle nostre produzioni, vale a dire che anche facendo suonare il brano su apparecchi con caratteristiche di resa diverse, verrà comunque conservato il suono pensato al momento della produzione. Non c'è niente di più frustrante dell'uscire da uno studio pensando di avere in mano un ottimo mix e accorgersi invece al primo ascolto sul vostro stereo di casa che non suona come suonava nel luogo dove lo avete prodotto. VIRTUAL INSTRUMENTS Molte delle nostre produzioni sfruttano i migliori moduli sonori software presenti oggi sul mercato, questi ci permettono di riprodurre artificialmente un singolo strumento o anche grandi orchestre, oppure ancora di modellare suoni elettronici creati appositamente per il vostro brano. Il nostro studio si avvale anche di moduli software dedicati alla delicata fase di mastering, durante la quale si esegue l'ultima ottimizzazione del suono e si controlla che il master finale rispetti tutti parametri richiesti ai prodotti audio commerciali. LA VOCAL BOX Come suggerisce il nome stesso la sua finalità principale è quella della ripresa vocale, per i cantanti o per gli attori, ma ci permette anche di registrare in acustico la maggior parte degli strumenti a fiato, gli archi, le percussioni ed altro, oppure sfruttare il suono del vostro amplificatore per le sessioni di basso o chitarra elettrica.
