Centralino degli anni '30
All'inizio del Novecento le reti telefoniche erano già molto estese tuttavia le spese di attivazione e d'esercizio di una linea privata si mantenevano alte. Si sviluppò allora la tecnologia delle centrali telefoniche per uso aziendale. Sfruttando un'unica linea, le centrali consentivano la creazione di una rete interna cui avevano accesso più apparecchi telefonici. Pioniere di questa tecnologia fu lo statunitense Kelly Monroe Turner (), fondatore della Dictograph Products Company Inc. di New York. Il successo dell'impresa diede vita a varie succursali europee, fra cui la Dictograph Telephones Ltd, che aveva una fabbrica nel sobborgo londinese di Croydon. È da qui che proviene questo esemplare di centralino. Costruito al principio degli anni '30, rimase in uso fino agli anni '60. La base è di legno mentre la cornetta e il suo supporto sono di bachelite; il cavo originale fu sostituito con un cavo spiralato nell'ultimo periodo d'utilizzo. Il funzionamento dell'apparecchio non è stato verificato perciò esso è venduto come oggetto da collezione. Il centralino è alto 22 cm., largo 19 cm. e profondo 19 cm. Difetti: il supporto della cornetta presenta lacune e incollature. Se l'apparecchio viene spedito, al prezzo d'acquisto bisogna aggiungere 10 euro di spese postali, che salgono a 15 euro se è richiesto il servizio di pagamento in contrassegno. Il prezzo di vendita rimane invariato se il centralino è ritirato dall'acquirente a Varese, presso il venditore.
