Finding George Orwell in Burma

Finding George Orwell in Burma

ISBN: , SKU: , AUTHOR: Larkin, Emma, PUBLISHER: Penguin Press, Over the years the American writer Emma Larkin has spent traveling in Burma, she's come to know all too well the many ways this brutal police state can be described as "Orwellian." The life of the mind exists in a state of siege in Burma, and it long has. But Burma's connection to George Orwell is not merely metaphorical; it is much deeper and more real. Orwell's mother was born in Burma, at the height of the British raj, and Orwell was fundamentally shaped by his experiences in Burma as a young man working for the British Imperial Police. When Orwell died, the novel-in-progress on his desk was set in Burma. It is the place George Orwell's work holds in Burma today, however, that most struck Emma Larkin. She was frequently told by Burmese acquaintances that Orwell did not write one book about their country--his first novel, "Burmese Days"--but in fact he wrote three, the "trilogy" that included "Animal Farm" and "Nineteen Eighty-Four." When Larkin quietly asked one Burmese intellectual if he knew the work of George Orwell, he stared blankly for a moment and then said, "Ah, you mean the prophet " In one of the most intrepid political travelogues in recent memory, Emma Larkin tells of the year she spent traveling through Burma using the life and work of George Orwell as her compass. Going from Mandalay and Rangoon to poor delta backwaters and up to the old hill-station towns in the mountains of Burma's far north, Larkin visits the places where Orwell worked and lived, and the places his books live still. She brings to vivid life a country and a people cut off from the rest of the world, and from one another, by the ruling military junta and its vast network of spies and informers. Using Orwell enables her to show, effortlessly, the weight of the colonial experience on Burma today, the ghosts of which are invisible and everywhere. More important, she finds that the path she charts leads her to the people who have found ways to somehow resist the soul-crushing effects of life in this most cruel police state. And George Orwell's moral clarity, hatred of injustice, and keen powers of observation serve as the author's compass in another sense too: they are qualities she shares and they suffuse her book--the keenest and finest reckoning with life in this police state that has yet been written. A brave and revelatory reconnaissance of modern Burma, one of the world's grimmest and most shuttered police states, using as its compass the life and work of George Orwell, the man many in Burma call simply "the prophet"

TC Electronic Intonator Vocal Intonation Processor

TC Electronic Intonator Vocal Intonation Processor

Intonator Encompassing a heritage of more than 20 years of delivering professional tools to the pro audio industry, TC Electronic proudly presents a high end vocal processing tool. Dedicated to the professional vocal recording engineer, the Intonator is aimed at reducing tedious engineering time spent on doing vocal re-takes. Not only does it provide you with the ultimate solution to vocal pitch correction, but it offers various valuable processing tools as well, including a De-esser, and a special Adaptive LoCut filter designed specifically for vocal processing. Quality Tools For Quality Engineering Tonal integrity is a must when dealing with delicate human vocals. The Intonator preserves the artist's personal touch by allowing vibrato, initial intonation and correction limited to individual notes. Utmost care has been taken in the software development to ensure that all fine adjustments applied to the incoming signal are being processed in a subtle, yet highly effective manner! Transparency Based on TC's world-renowned DARCâ,,¢3 chip technology (incorporating 96kHz internal processing and true 24 bit resolution), the Intonator provides you with an ultra-transparent signal path. It features fully integrated AES/EBU, S/PDIF, Tos-link and ADAT digital I/O's, and is 96kHz, 88.2kHz, 48kHz and 44.1kHz compatible on both digital and analog I/O's. Coherence Apart from the clear advantages of reducing the time spent on doing vocal re-takes, the Intonator also brings back coherence into the performance. Instead of cutting and pasting bits and phrases, with the loss of coherence as an obvious result, you now have a professional tool for processing and correcting your vocals in real-time. Two Signal Setups The Intonator also makes you capable of configuring the signal path in two different ways. In Normal mode the ADIOS (Analog Dual I/O's) configuration enables you to make simultaneous recordings of processed and unprocessed vocals, making comparisons a breeze (see fig. A). Digital signals, from your digital multitrack recorder for instance, can be configured the same way. In Dual mode you have the option of pitch-correcting the signal in one channel while using the dynamics, De-esser and LoCut, on the signal in the other channel (see fig. B). Being On Top You can choose to correct a single note simply by using the unique "Do-not-process-anything-but-this-note" function achieved via an internal custom scale feature, or type in your personal scale. A Pitch window allows you to specify when a note will be considered out of tune, whereas the Amount control limits the level of Pitch correction added to the audio. The Audio-to-MIDI conversion allows you to keep track of the incoming pitch history and/or correction history, giving you the advantages of being on top of things throughout the entire recording session. The Intonator features full MIDI automation making time based pitch shifting a simple operation. Use your keyboard for real-time manual pitch correction simply by hitting the notes to be processed. Dithering The use of dithering is very important when interfacing digitally between audio equipment. When resolution is changed from higher to lower, dithering is necessary to minimize distortion. In the Intonator you have the user friendly TPDF Dithering. The Output resolution of the Intonator is 24 bit, when the receiver of the Intonator signal has a lower resolution, Output Dither must be applied to equal the resolution of the receiver. Premium Converters When converting from analog to digital or vice versa, you should always try to use the full dynamic range of your converters. Even though the converters in the Intonator are 24 bit, analog gain may be applied before the AD's and after the DA's to make full use of them. The analog signal-path is balanced and can carry professional levels. Applications With the Intonator, you can establish a completely digital signal-path for vocal editing and correction. When tracking, the unit's fine A to D converters may be utilized to get high quality digital signals directly to Multitrack, ADAT, ProTools etc. Audio-to-MIDI With a simple setup you can monitor and edit your vocals externally. Just track the incoming pitch history to your sequencer, add the necessary correction and play back the pitch correction to the Intonator Keyboard The keyboard gives you instant access to changing the Root note of the current scale or the notes allowed to be corrected. Simultaneously the keyboard also indicates the incoming note, making it possible to recognize the note about to be processed. Display The Display shows you the current Root note and Scale. While processing you can see both the incoming signal and the amount of correction added to the source, creating a visual confirmation of the process taking place. Window, Attack and Amount These three knobs allow you to individualize the processing in detail. The Window knob determines how close to a particular note the source should be in order to be corrected. The Attack knob conducts the response-time before the correction sets in. This will help preserve the artist's personal touch by e.g. allowing vibrato. The Amount knob sets the amount of correction added to the signal. Manual Pitch Use the Manual Pitch control to add pitch correction by hand. The wheel can also be remote controlled by your keyboard modulation wheel or even provide in-sync changes when locked to a sequencer. The De-esser uses a relative threshold technique. This means that the actual threshold is always set according to the average level of the source signal. Consequently, the De-esser always adapts to the incoming signal and maintains the same threshold to the average level regardless of the Input signal. Adaptive Locut The Adaptive LoCut is a pitch controlled LoCut Filter. Instead of cutting off frequencies under a predetermined value, the Adaptive LoCut filter controls the cut off frequencies dynamically in accordance with the incoming signal. This ensures a perfect LoCut that never removes too much low end.

The Spiritual Emerson: Essential Writings

The Spiritual Emerson: Essential Writings

ISBN: , SKU: , AUTHOR: Emerson, Ralph Waldo / Robinson, David M., PUBLISHER: Beacon Press (MA), The first collection of Emerson's spiritual writings, published for the 200th anniversary of the writer's birth Matthew Arnold once described Ralph Waldo Emerson as "the friend and aider of all those who would live in the spirit." Arnold's comment captured the impact that Emerson had as a teacher of a new form of spirituality in the nineteenth century. Emerson proposed a new religious vision that made the spiritual life freshly accessible to people. In our current era, Emerson continues to speak with a compelling voice. Known best in the twenty-first century as a literary innovator and early architect of American intellectual culture, Emerson's writings still offer spiritual sustenance to the thoughtful reader. The Spiritual Emerson brings together the essays and lectures that best articulate Emerson's spiritual vision, and promise the greatest relevance to today's reader. Compiled and introduced by David M. Robinson, one of the leading authorities on Emerson, The Spiritual Emerson will be both a portrait of Emerson as a spiritual teacher and a sourcebook for all those who find his ideas and convictions useful in their own efforts to live in the spirit. "This collection brings together for the first time Emerson's most important writings on spiritual themes, along with a discerning and eminently readable introduction by one of the foremost authorities on Emerson's religious thought." --Lawrence Buell, Harvard University, author of LITERARY TRANSCENDENTALISM and EMERSON "Simply the best selection ever made from the spiritual writings of America's most influential sage. Combining familiar essays with the oft-neglected, from both the early and the laterEmerson, Robinson reveals the paradoxes that shaped one soul then and continue to shape many today. For all who still care for the soul, essential reading." --John Buehrens, author of UNDERSTANDING THE BIBLE "THE SPIRITUAL EMERSON is a superb and timely collection, one that will help to elucidate and consolidate our understanding of Emerson's spirituality on the occasion of his 200th birthday celebration. Accessibly framed and introduced by David Robinson, our premier scholar of the religious context and character of Emersonian Transcendentalism, this elegantly appointed volume will help open the way to a fuller understanding of the heart of Emerson's thought. Drawn together chronologically from every period of Emerson's long and productive career, the essays contained here provide a sound basis for a better understanding of the life-long evolution of his religious and moral philosophy." --Alan Hodder, Hampshire College "David Robinson is our leading interpreter of the later Emerson's pragmatic turn toward an 'ever greater conviction that ethical action is] not a by-product of religious belief, but the very core of religion itself.' Robinson has for years been calling attention to Emerson as a religious figure, not just a

The Winters in Bloom

The Winters in Bloom

ISBN: , SKU: , AUTHOR: Tucker, Lisa, PUBLISHER: Atria Books, Kyra and David have been married for almost a decade and consider themselves happy - their home is comfortable, their jobs are stable, and their five year-old son, Michael, is simply perfect. Yet for reasons they've never fully shared with each other, the Winters have always been afraid that something will happen to the life they've created, and more importantly, to their little boy. David is a historian - he knows the past is inescapable, and yet he has spent fifteen years trying to escape the tragedy that ended his first marriage; trying to convince himself that if only he works hard enough, his new family will be safe. Kyra writes questions for a math textbook company; she loves puzzles and worships logic, yet she lives in fear of karma punishing her for the way she betrayed her sister, Amy, in college. After all, Amy was more than a sister - she was Kyra's only real family since their mother abandoned them as young children - and their estrangement weighs heavily on her conscience. So when Michael mysteriously disappears from his backyard one ordinary summer day, Kyra and David feel like the mistakes of their past have finally caught up to them. Each is convinced they know who has their son, but to find him, the Winters must embark upon an odyssey through time and memory. Their journey will involve David's mother, Sandra, who offers both her son and her daughter-in-law a path to understanding, and David's ex-wife Courtney, who lives just across town but in a universe away, where she struggles with the demons that caused her to lose everything she loved that fateful night fifteen years ago. It's only when a mysterious stranger enters their lives that they will discover it's not too late to become the kind of family they've always wanted to be--if only they can find a way to forgive themselves, and believe in the gift of a second chance. Lisa Tucker's most optimistic work since "Once Upon a Day, The Winters in Bloom "is a wise, life-affirming tale that is both poignant and surprisingly funny. Though the fast-paced, captivating story will keep readers turning pages, the novel's true power lies in its profound engagement with what it means to be alive: the mistakes we make, the price we pay, the fragility of human happiness but also the stubborn strength of the human heart.

Sketching User Experiences: Getting the Design Right and the

ISBN: , SKU: , AUTHOR: Buxton, Bill, PUBLISHER: Morgan Kaufmann Publishers, Bill Buxton and I share a common belief that design leadership together with technical leadership drives innovation. Sketching, prototyping, and design are essential parts of the process we use to create new products. Bill Buxton brings design leadership and creativity to Microsoft. Through his thought-provoking personal examples he is inspiring others to better understand the role of design in their own companies--Bill Gates, Chairman, Microsoft "Informed design is essential." While it might seem that Bill Buxton is exaggerating or kidding with this bold assertion, neither is the case. In an impeccably argued and sumptuously illustrated book, design star Buxton convinces us that design simply must be integrated into the heart of business--Roger Martin, Dean, Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto Design is explained, with the means and manner for successes and failures illuminated by engaging stories, true examples and personal anecdotes. In Sketching User Experiences, Bill Buxton clarifies the processes and skills of design from sketching to experience modeling, in a lively and informative style that is rich with stories and full of his own heart and enthusiasm. At the start we are lost in mountain snows and northern seas, but by the end we are equipped with a deep understanding of the tools of creative design.--Bill Moggridge, Cofounder of IDEO and author of Designing Interactions "Like any secret society, the design community has its strange rituals and initiation procedures. Bill opens up the mysteries of the magical process of design, taking us through a land in which story-telling, orange squeezers, the Wizard of Oz, I-pods, avalanche avoidance, bicycle suspension sketching, and faking it are all points on the design pilgrim's journey. There are lots of ideas and techniques in this book to feed good design and transform the way we think about creating useful stuff." -Peter Gabriel I love this book. There are very few resources available that see across and through all of the disciplines involved in developing great experiences. This is complex stuff and Buxton's work is both informed and insightful. He shares the work in an intimate manner that engages the reader and you will find yourself nodding with agreement, and smiling at the poignant relevance of his examples.--Alistair Hamilton, Symbol Technologies, NY Books that have proposed bringing design into HCI are aplenty, though books that propose bringing software in to Design less common. The Redrock Chronicles: Saving Wild Utah

The Redrock Chronicles: Saving Wild Utah

ISBN: , SKU: , AUTHOR: Watkins, T. H., PUBLISHER: Johns Hopkins University Press, As a collection of geological and climatic phenomena, the earth is a scarred, bent, cracked, and agitated wreck of a place. Nowhere is this more evident than in Utah's redrock canyon country, which is among the most spectacular terrain not only in America but in the world. These extraordinary lands lie at the heart of the Colorado Plateau -- square miles of uplifted rock sitting like a huge island in an earthly continental sea, surrounded on all sides by the remnants of once-active volcanoes. Although the Colorado Plateau includes portions of Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona, in no other part of any other state are its complexity and time-constructed beauty illuminated more brilliantly than in southern Utah. Tourists and outdoor enthusiasts by the millions visit and revisit the area because there is no place else on earth quite like it. In The Redrock Chronicles, T. H. Watkins, one of America's best-known and award-winning writers on the environment and history, focuses on southern Utah's unprotected lands in a loving testament to its warps and tangles of rock and sky. Combining history, geography, and photography, the author reports the full story of the region -- from its violent geologic beginnings to the coming (and going) of pre-Puebloan peoples whose drawings still adorn rocks and caves there, from the Mormon settlement of the s and s to the great uranium boom of the s, from the beginning of tourism and parkland protection in the s to today's controversial movement to preserve millions of acres of wild Utah land in the National Wilderness Preservation System. Indeed, the account of that revolutionary movement is told here in all its color and complexity for the first time. Writing from his own personal experience and extensive research, an appreciative Watkins takes readers on a tour of the Grand Staircase of plateaus, moving from the utterly wild triangle of Kaiparowits Plateau, with its erosion-sculptured mesas, tablelands, benchlands, and canyons, to a more welcoming kind of verdant wilderness that sits northeast, across the rolling desert scrubland of Harris Wash, in the red-walled canyon of the Escalante River. The author has spent much time hiking and camping here among the isolated buttes and mesas, and he draws a vivid portrait of the area's highlights: Comb Ridge, a 90-mile wall of 600-foot cliffs; Waterpocket Fold, an even more spectacular monocline to the northeast of the Escalante River, stretching a hundred miles; the Henry Mountains; Hump of Bull Mountain; Cataract Canyon; and the San Rafael Swell, an enormous oval some square miles which rises just north of Capitol Reef National Park. But The Redrock Chronicles is not simply a celebration. Watkins concludes with a spirited call for the preservation of the unprotected wilderness that gives the land its character and color. He offers the legislative device of wilderness designation as the necessary means of saving this plateau country

A self-declared "light-skinned" woman evasive about her ethnicity, yet steadfast in her love for her twelve black children. James McBride, journalist, musician, and son, explores his mother's past, as well as his own upbringing and heritage, in a poignant and powerful debut, "The Color Of Water: A Black Man's Tribute to His White Mother." The son of a black minister and a woman who would not admit she was white, James McBride grew up in "orchestrated chaos" with his eleven siblings in the poor, all-black projects of Red Hook, Brooklyn. "Mommy," a fiercely protective woman with "dark eyes full of pep and fire," herded her brood to Manhattan's free cultural events, sent them off on buses to the best (and mainly Jewish) schools, demanded good grades, and commanded respect. As a young man, McBride saw his mother as a source of embarrassment, worry, and confusion--and reached thirty before he began to discover the truth about her early life and long-buried pain. In The Color of Water, McBride retraces his mother's footsteps and, through her searing and spirited voice, recreates her remarkable story. The daughter of a failed itinerant Orthodox rabbi, she was born Rachel Shilsky (actually Ruchel Dwara Zylska) in Poland on April . Fleeing pogroms, her family emigrated to America and ultimately settled in Suffolk, Virginia, a small town where anti-Semitism and racial tensions ran high. With candor and immediacy, Ruth describes her parents' loveless marriage; her fragile, handicapped mother; her cruel, sexually-abusive father; and the rest of the family and life she abandoned. At seventeen, after fleeing Virginia and settling in New York City, Ruth married a black minister and founded the all- black New Brown Memorial Baptist Church in her Red Hook living room. "God is the color of water," Ruth McBride taught her children, firmly convinced that life's blessings and life's values transcend race. Twice widowed, and continually confronting overwhelming adversity and racism, Ruth's determination, drive and discipline saw her dozen children through college--and most through graduate school. At age 65, she herself received a degree in social work from Temple University. Interspersed throughout his mother's compelling narrative, McBride shares candid recollections of his own experiences as a mixed-race child of poverty, his flirtations with drugs and violence, and his eventual self- realization and professional success. The Color of Water touches readers of all colors as a vivid portrait of growing up, a haunting meditation on race and identity, and a ly

Get ready to transform your financial life in less than a week Robert Pagliarini has taken budgeting, investing, insurance, and retirement planning--subjects that most of us find stressful and overwhelmingly complex--and made it approachable and even manageable through his unsinkable optimism and relentless simplification process. He says, "We're going to take the pie-in-the-sky theories and turn them into bite-size pieces that you can and will be able to implement in your life immediately." THE SIX DAY FINANCIAL MAKEOVER does a lot of things really well, but I'll just tell you about three. First and foremost it actually provides advice--yes, real advice. Not wishy-washy "maybe you should do this" or "it all depends on your situation" nonsense (what Robert calls "financial fog"). Second, it has an action bias. No, not really a bias, more like a mantra. Implement, implement, implement is the theme in every chapter and on every page (there's even a patent-pending free web site at www.sixdayfinancialmakeover.com readers can use to help them take the advice they read and incorporate it into their lives). Three, it is full of brand-new, never seen before financial shortcuts and strategies such as: " " Why your seven year old is a better investor than you are. Kids intuitively understand how to save and invest better than most adults. The trick is focus and creating separate physical accounts for themyriad goals we have. There is no "right" way to invest. What's crucial is that people determine their investment personality - particularly how involved they want to be with investing - and let that be their guide. Disregarding one's investment personality and pursuing an approach that's not compatible with it is a recipe for disaster. Why you shouldn't work for a paycheck. Most of us work to earn a paycheck, right? Well that's the wrong way to think about work. Once we can align our life's vision and deepest goals to our income, we start to see our purpose for waking up each morning entirely differently. Work is no longer work--it becomes a catalyst that helps us achieve our goals. The most important thing you should save for (and it's not retirement). What's more important and more satisfying than retirement? Financial independence. Discover how many days your passive income could support your lifestyle (if your score is less than 31, don't quit your day job). The more information and choices you have, the worse your finances will be. In addition, forging enhances the integrity of metal grains so that they remain consistent and continuous, which allows for a longer lifetime as well as better performance that is unrivalled by that which is created by casting. Anodic Surface Treatment Anodizing surface treatment, produced by an electrolytic oxidation process to increase the thickness of the natural oxide layer on the surface of metal parts, is applied to increase corrosion and wear resistance, surface hardness, and enhance color durability.

ISBN: , SKU: , AUTHOR: Berry, Steve, PUBLISHER: Hodder & Stoughton General Division, ONE Garmisch, Germany Tuesday, December 11, The Present 1:40 pm Cotton Malone hated enclosed spaces. His current unease was amplified by a packed cable car. Most of the passengers were on vacation, dressed in colorful garb, shouldering poles and skis. He sensed a variety of nationalities. Some Italians, a few Swiss, a handful of French, but mainly Germans. He'd been one of the first to climb aboard and, to relieve his discomfort, he'd made his way close to one of the frosty windows. Ten thousand feet above and closing, the Zugspitze stood silhouetted against a steel- blue sky, the imposing gray summit draped in a late- autumn snow. Not smart, agreeing to this location. The car continued its giddy ascent, passing one of several steel tres-tles that rose from the rocky crags. He was unnerved, and not simply from the crowded surroundings. Ghosts awaited him atop Germany's highest peak. He'd avoided this rendezvous for nearly four decades. People like him, who buried their past so determinedly, should not help it from the grave so easily. Yet here he was, doing exactly that. Vibrations slowed as the car entered, then stopped at the summit station. Skiers flooded off toward another lift that would take them down to a high- altitude corrie, where a chalet and slopes waited. He didn't ski, never had, never wanted to. He made his way through the visitor center, identified by a yellow placard as MYncher Haus. A restaurant dominated one half of the building, the rest housed a theater, a snack bar, an observatory, souvenir shops, and a weather station. He pushed through thick glass doors and stepped out onto a railed terrace. Bracing Alpine air stung his lips. According to Stephanie Nelle his contact should be waiting on the observation deck. One thing was obvious. Ten thousand feet in the high Alps certainly added a height-ened measure of privacy to their meeting. The Zugspitze lay on the border. A succession of snowy crags rose south toward Austria. To the north spanned a soup- bowl valley ringed by rock- ribbed peaks. A gauze of frosty mist shielded the German vil-lage of Garmisch and its companion, Partenkirchen. Both were sports meccas, and the region catered not only to skiing but also bobsledding, skating, and curling. More sports he'd avoided. The observation deck was deserted save for an elderly couple and a few skiers who'd apparently paused to enjoy the view. He'd come to solve a mystery, one that had preyed on his mind ever since that day when the men in uniforms came to tell his mother that her husband was dead. ""Contact was lost with the submarine forty- eight hours ago. We dispatched search and rescue ships to the North Atlantic, which have combed the last known position. Wreckage was found six hours ago. We waited to tell the families until we were sure there was no chance of survivors." " His mother had never cried. Not her way. But that didn't mean she wasn't devas

A web browser can be used to configure analogue output connection to fixed or variable analogue for maximum flexibility. Meridian Apodising Filter Filters are critical in digital audio. Commonly they introduce distortion and harshness because of "pre-ringing". Early digital recordings suffer from harshness too, due to primitive filters. After painstaking research, Meridian developed a special filter that avoids pre-ringing, so it can be steeper, cleaning up the effects of early filters. The result: a better, cleaner sound from recordings old and new. SpeakerLink Traditional audio systems often require large, expensive cables to maintain their performance. Meridian's SpeakerLink uses an “Ethernet style” cable that delivers pristine digital sound and control down a single cable between Meridian components. The result is simple, unobtrusive, and cost-effective cables that are easy to install. Network Interface 1x Ethernet (RJ45) Audio Connections Meridian SpeakerLink (RJ45) 1x S/PDIF coaxial digital output, RCA type Analogue stereo (RCA type), 2V P-P or variable level. Simply put, Anthem Room Correction quickly "corrects" the effects that reflective surfaces such as walls, floors and ceilings have on the sound radiating from a loudspeaker. Removing the effects of these obstacles allows your audio equipment to achieve a more natural sound in any room, as close to the lab standard as possible. On a more complex level, ARC is a proprietary digital signal processing software that works with a specially-engineered calibration microphone and your PC to quickly and easily optimize audio for your unique listening space. Anthem engineers developed the ARC system while researching how to replicate the audio-lab standard of performance in non-lab environments. This groundbreaking research was conducted in conjunction with the National Research Council of Canada, the Canadian government's research and technology organization. Anthem engineers realized that real world listening experiences had little in common with the controlled environment of the audio lab. That's because even the best loudspeakers are affected by room anomalies like furniture. These obstacles cause standing waves, resonances, and reflections that can color the sound you hear. Imagine the sound waves coming from your speakers as ripples on a water surface. That makes it easy for you to understand how the ripples of sound bounce off any obstruction they encounter. You can immediately see the benefit of removing the obstacles. ARC digitally compares a room's acoustic signature to that of the lab standard. It measures the response of each speaker relative to the listening area. Then it uses advanced algorithms to eliminate the negative effects of the obstacles in the room, adjusting response and correcting phase effects. When ARC removes the obstacles, what's left is the lab standard performance. Limitless music. App-controlled convenience. Wireless connectivity.
