Konitz, allora undicenne, aspira a suonare in qualche orchestrina e capisce che per realizzare il suo sogno è meglio imparare a suonare anche il sassofono tenore. Studia il jazz essenzialmente con Lennie Tristano (uno degli artefici della corrente chiamata cool-jazz), impronta stilistica che gli resterà per tutta la carriera. Nel , ormai divenuto musicista professionista, per suonare nell'orchestra di Jerry Wald, prende in mano anche il sassofono contralto. In questa fase la sua evoluzione artistica è fortemente influenzata da Lennie Tristano, il pianista suo concittadino di appena otto anni più vecchio, di cui diviene allievo fedele. Corso Istruttore di Difesa Personale (Global Self Defence) La difesa personale deve essere vista come una cultura di prevenzione adatta a tutti. Le tecniche di difesa dalle aggressioni fisiche sono molteplici e variano da scuola a scuola. Tutte però hanno in comune la ricerca della semplicità di esecuzione e l'efficacia. Ã^ importante che una tecnica di difesa entri nella memoria fisica di chi la esegue, cioè deve essere eseguita spontaneamente; la tecnica non deve essere pensata, deve essere eseguita e basta, come se il corpo reagisse per istinto. Non esiste una tecnica in assoluto più efficace di altre, ma esiste una linea guida da seguire affinché la tecnica utilizzata lo possa diventare. Ciò premesso, un moderno e razionale corso di difesa personale, non può prescindere dai seguenti argomenti cardini: - psicologia dellâ€(TM)aggressione; - studio dei punti vitali, modo corretto per colpirli ed effetti fisiologici; - difesa ed attacco a corta, media e lunga distanza; - leve articolari; - ukemi (cadute) Per promuovere lo studio della Global Self Defence (G.S.D.) nella nostra Regione, lâ€(TM)Accademia Oriente, in collaborazione con lâ€(TM)A.C.S.I.,organizza un Corso Istruttore teorico â€" pratico coordinato dal M° Rodolfo Veneruso e che vede la collaborazione di uno staff di specialisti marziali di primâ€(TM)ordine. Organizzazione del corso Il corso sarà articolato in 40 lezioni, di tre ore ciascuna, da svolgersi di sabato (2 sabati al mese dalle ore ) durante gli anni sportivi . Ogni partecipante firmerà la presenza su apposito registro alla fine di ogni lezione. Per essere ammessi allâ€(TM)esame per istruttore bisogna aver totalizzato un numero di presenze pari o superiore alle 35 lezioni. N.B. Potranno ricevere lâ€(TM)attestato finale solo coloro che, superato le prove previste, avranno raggiunto il 18. anno di età.
