Cannocchiale PENTAX con attacco per oculare da 31mm (lo stesso utilizzato dai telescopi per astronomia) e quindi con la possibilità di usare qualunque oculare di qualunque marca con questo stardard. La qualità ottica altissima di questo cannocchiale lo pone in diretta concorrenza con ottiche al top quali ZEISS e SWAROVSKI verso i quali è in difetto per un peso e dimensioni maggiori. Le immagini fornite con lo spettacolare oculare zoom PENTAX x in dotazione sono estremamente nitide e contrastate con una correzione ottica di altissimo livello per le quali PENTAX è rinomata e nota a livello mondiale. Personalmente ho avuto modo di confrontarlo con uno Zeiss DiaScope 85T*FL di un mio amico e quest'ultimo è uscito vincitore solo in condizioni di controluce estremo con una leggera e migliore correzione cromatica nei contorni (fringing) grazie alle sue lenti alla fluorite. Ma lo Zeiss costa poco meno di euro! Il cannocchiale anche se non più in garanzia è pari al nuovo come attestano le foto allegate, comprato per un uso fotografico all'avifauna (digiscoping) dopo poche uscite è stato sostituito con reflex e teleobiettivo e quindi "parcheggiato nell'armadio dal quale non è più uscito se non per sporadiche sessioni sul balcone di casa. Viene fornito con custodia originale e tappi per le ottiche, venduto a malincuore per monetizzare l'acquisto di una nuova reflex.
