Previous mixed-method work has concentrated on the technical level of method, focusing on combining qualitative and quantitative methods within one evaluation study. The present mixed-method volume addresses the philosophical level of paradigm, analyzing the challenges of combining in one study different, even conflicting, assumptions about the nature of social phenomena and our claims to know them. The volume argues for a shift in the mixed-method conversation. The shift would be away from a preoccupation with explicit assumptive differences among paradigms, such as objectivity-subjectivity and realism-relativism, and toward other characteristics of social inquiry traditions. Such characteristics define these traditions in important ways but are not logically irreconcilable. The significant advance here is to redirect the bases for mixing methods away from what may well be incommensurable philosophical assumptions and toward other inquiry characteristics that can more productively share a common analytic space. La gatta Isabel è stata trovata per strada questa primavera a fine gravidanza; era piena di parassiti e sporca. Trasferita in una situazione protetta, ha partorito e cresciuto i suoi gattini al sicuro, in modo esemplare. Tutti i suoi piccoli hanno trovato famiglia felicemente ed ora è giunto il momento di trovare una casa accogliente a questa mamma coraggiosa. Isa ha un bellissimo carattere: è dolce e disponibile alle carezze senza essere troppo appiccicosa e cerca il contatto strusciandosi sulle gambe. Fa capire quando è stufa delle coccole, senza esagerare troppo nei modi. É intelligente, tranquilla, pulita ed educata. La gattina Elodie è stata raccolta a Druento, in una discarica. La piccoletta mostrava un bel pancione e non ce la siamo sentiti di farla partorire lì, in mezzo ai rifiuti. Elodie si è dimostrata subito domesticissima, buona buona! Ha messo al mondo 4 splendidi cucciolini che hanno già trovato famiglia ma ora è venuto il suo momento... ci sarà qualcuno pronto ad accogliere questa giovanissima neo mamma, tanto dolce e simpatica? Pure lei ha diritto ad una bella famiglia, ad un morbido divano, a topini e palline da rincorrere, a ricevere grattini e coccole! Anche perché Elodie è una gatta fantastica: essendo molto giovane ha una matta voglia di giocare: le piace essere rincorsa e corre come una mattacchiona in giro per casa; adora farsi strapazzare, non si lamenta mai! Protezione Micio: adozione gattini Freddy,Mercury,Prince
I gattini Freddy, Mercury e Prince sono nati in una piccola colonia felina, a cui porta da mangiare una signora molto anziana. Li abbiamo presi per poter dar loro una vita migliore e per toglierli dall’imminente freddo invernale e dal pericolo dello stradone lì davanti. La loro mamma è stata sterilizzata e rimessa sul territorio e loro portati a casa della nostra volontaria Marina, che li ospita. I tre fratellini sono giocherelloni e molto dolci, non hanno alcuna paura degli umani e ci hanno messo pochi istanti ad abituarsi e a godere della vita domestica; amano giocare insieme e apprezzano le coccole ricambiando con sonore fusa. La notte piace loro intrufolarsi nel lettone per dormire vicino al loro umano. Vanno d’accordo con la cagnolina della volontaria che li ospita e giocano a rincorrerla e farle gli agguati. Sono tutti e tre delle buone forchette e usano correttamente la lettiera. Hanno appena 2 mesi e sono stati spulciati e sverminati come da profilassi, sono stati testati con PCR per la FeLV e sono risultati negativi sono dunque i cuccioli perfetti se cercate un compagno di giochi per il vostro gatto! Protezione Micio: adozione gattini Abel,Arthur,Georgie
I gattini Abel, Arthur e Georgie sono nati nella colonia felina di Corso Cuneo a Venaria (TO), il primo di aprile, e sono stati svezzati dalla loro mamma, che li ha allattati fino a qualche giorno fa. Abbiamo costantemente monitorato la loro crescita in colonia e, quando hanno iniziato a fare capolino fuori dalle cucce allestite dalle gattare, abbiamo deciso di ricollocare la famigliola al sicuro, da una nostra volontaria. Quando i piccolini erano ormai autonomi, la mamma è stata sterilizzata e testata, quindi nuovamente liberata in colonia, poiché non è risultata addomesticabile. Al contrario, i piccoli stanno imparando ad apprezzare le coccole e fanno già le prime fusa. Per il resto giocano e corrono come furetti ed utilizzano correttamente la lettiera. Li abbiamo chiamati Abel (tigrato scuro), Arthur (tigrato chiaro) e Georgie (tigrata scura). Li affideremo a persone motivate che vogliano inserire in casa un vero e proprio membro della famiglia, abbiano del tempo sufficiente da dedicare loro e possano far fronte alle spese che l’adozione di un cucciolo comporta. Saranno adottabili a partire dal 1 giugno pv. Le profilassi di sverminazione sono in corso e sarà tutto appuntato sul loro libretto. La loro mamma è risultata fiv-felv negativa (test rapido e pcr): una bella tranquillità se in casa c’è un altro gatto! La mamma dei gattini Pisolo, Cucciola e Mammola è stata catturata in una colonia felina. Quando ci siamo resi conto che la gatta era incinta, abbiamo deciso di fare nascere in tranquillità i piccolini, per poi sterilizzare e liberare la mamma (che è selvatica) a fine svezzamento e cercare una casa ai suoi cuccioli. Solo 3 giorni dopo sono venute alla luce queste 3 meraviglie e la loro mamma è stata esemplare nell’accudirle finora. Adesso è giunto il momento di trovare loro una casa per la vita! Sono tutti e tre dolci e giocherelloni. Pisolo, il maschietto, è un cucciolo energico e giocoso, esploratore per natura . Cucciola, la più minuta, inizialmente appare timorosa perché si ripara dietro i fratelli, ma se le si danno 5 minuti per prendere confidenza, si mostra allegra e giocosa. Imita per istinto tutto quello che vede fare ai fratellini. Mammola è curiosa, intelligente e giocosa. Si prende cura dei fratelli con leccatine amorose. Hanno circa 2 mesi e saranno adottabili a partire dal . Sono stati spulciati e sverminati come da profilassi, la loro mamma è stata testata con test rapido per FIV e FeLV e con pcr per la FeLV ed è risultata negativa: sono dunque i cuccioli perfetti se cercate un compagno di giochi per il vostro gatto!
