ISBN: , SKU: , AUTHOR: Stewart, John Lawrence, PUBLISHER: University of California Press, When Ernst Krenek's opera "Jonny spielt auf" (Jonny plays on) opened in Leipzig in , it became an instant and spectacular success. Performed in over a hundred cities and translated into a dozen languages, it became the most popular opera of this century. And Austrian-born Krenek, easily one of this century's most prolific major composers, became a wealthy man. Ten years later, however, he found himself a destitute refugee, fleeing to the United States as Hitler's troops invaded Austria. His work, always avant-garde, had become increasingly political; Hitler banned it and labeled Krenek a "cultural Bolshevist." The composer endured long periods of hardship and neglect before his music, which was much admired by such colleagues as Stravinsky and Alban Berg but strange to American ears, was rediscovered by Europeans after the war. Eventually it brought him financial security and many honors, including the Gold Medal of Vienna and the Cross of Austria, and it has been celebrated by festivals in Vienna, Salzburg, Berlin, and other cities. Krenek, who in became an American citizen, has been as experimental and broad-ranging in his compositions as he has been prolific. His 240 musical works illustrate brilliantly the principal musical trends of the century: Neoromantic tonality, Neoclassicism, free atonality, the twelve-tone technique, integral serialism, and electronic music. In addition, Krenek has also been an accomplished teacher and writer. He has taught some of America's leading composers and has several collections of essays in both German and English to his credit. In this first major biography of Krenek, Stewart chronicles both the personal and the professional events of this brilliant, resilient composer's life. He not only explains Krenek's music in terms that enable us to comprehend and appreciate its character but vividly illustrates how Krenek's imagination has been affected by his experiences, his associates, and the massive social and artistic changes of the twentieth century. Many of the most important music figures cross the landscape of this life--Franz Schreker, Artur Schnabel, T. W. Adorno, Alban Berg, Anton Webern, Igor Stravinsky, Arnold Schoenberg, Dimitri Mitropoulos, and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau--confirming Krenek's position as one of the world's foremost composers.
ISBN: , SKU: , AUTHOR: Price, David A. / Drummond, David, PUBLISHER: Tantor Media, The Pixar Touch is a story of technical innovation that revolutionized animation, transforming hand-drawn cel animation into computer-generated 3-D graphics. It is a triumphant business story of a company that began with a dream, remained true to the ideals of its founders-antibureaucratic and artist driven-and ended up a multibillion-dollar success. We meet Pixar's technical genius and founding CEO, Ed Catmull, who, inspired by Disney's Peter Pan and Pinocchio, dreamed of becoming an animator; however, realizing he would never be good enough, he instead enrolled in the then new field of computer science at the University of Utah. It was Catmull who founded the computer graphics lab at the New York Institute of Technology and who wound up at Lucasfilm during the first Star Wars trilogy, running the computer graphics department. He also found a patron in Steve Jobs, just ousted from Apple Computer, who bought Pixar for five million dollars. Catmull went on to win four Academy Awards for his technical feats and helped to create some of the key computer-generated imagery software that animators rely on today. David A. Price also writes about John Lasseter, who catapulted himself from unemployed animator to one of the most powerful figures in American filmmaking; animation was the only thing he ever wanted to do (he was inspired by Disney's The Sword in the Stone), and Price's book shows how Lasseter transformed computer animation from a novelty into an art form. The author writes as well about Steve Jobs, as volatile a figure as a Shakespearean monarch.Based on interviews with dozens of insiders, The Pixar Touch examines the early wildcat years, when computer animation was thought of as the lunatic fringe of the medium. We also see the studio at work today-how its writers, directors, and animators make their astonishing, and astonishingly popular, films. The book also delves into Pixar's corporate feuds: between Lasseter and his former champion, Jeffrey Katzenberg (A Bug's Life versus Antz), and between Jobs and Michael Eisner. Finally, Price explores Pixar's complex relationship with the Walt Disney Company as it transformed itself from a Disney satellite into the $7.4 billion jewel in the Disney crown.
ISBN: , SKU: , AUTHOR: Thoms, Peg A., PUBLISHER: Praeger Publishers, We all choose our leaders. We hire them to run our companies. We vote them into office. We appoint them to committees. We decide to work for, serve, and follow them. In fact, all leadership is relative; by taking direction or orders, going to bat or war, marching behind, listening, and agreeing, we are choosing to allow another individual to lead us. Whether the stage is a corporation, a country, a club, a school, or any other organization, effective leaders matter. Yet despite such high-profile examples of leadership disasters--from the California recall of Gray Davis to the fall of such business titans as Ken Lay and Sam Waksal--we continue to choose, hire, and elect poor leaders. Finding the Best and the Brightest explores this phenomenon in business, politics, and other sectors of society, and proposes an antidote--an approach to choosing leaders based on a set of criteria designed to align individual qualities with organizational or institutional goals. Peg Thoms challenges the popular trend toward "transformational" leadership, which focuses on identifying universal characteristics, arguing instead that leadership must be developed in context. Many organizations, for example, need "operational" leaders who can focus on present-day tasks, such as designing superior products and delivering exceptional customer service, and not inspirational or "visionary" leaders, whose otherwise admirable qualities might be ill-suited to the challenges at hand. Outlining six typical leadership search scenarios--from school principal to hospital CEO--Thoms shows readers how to identify the traits and behaviors that are most essential for the position and how to structure interviews and other search techniques to elicit the most informative responses and home in on the best candidates. She also reminds us that many organizations fail not because they can't find good leaders but because they can't keep them, and offers strategies to promote leadership development. Whether you are an executive giving the nod to a new department head, a concerned citizen casting your vote for a municipal councilman, a club member choosing a new president, or an aspiring leader deciding which offer will provide the greatest growth opportunities, Finding the Best and the Brightest offers fresh insights on the dynamic relationship between leaders and those who follow them.

ISBN: , SKU: , AUTHOR: Yago, Glenn, PUBLISHER: Oxford University Press, USA, Junk bonds burst into the nation's headlines as the fastest growing and most controversial financial instruments of the s. Branded with an unflattering nickname, these high yield securities were tarnished in the public eye by waves of negative publicity. Critics cast the financiers and entrepreneurs who pioneered their use as symbols of a decade of greed and financial excess. By the end of the s, the heyday of junk bonds had seemingly come to a close with the conviction of junk bond pioneer Michael Milken and the bankruptcy of Drexel Burnham Lambert, the brokerage that dominated the high yield market. But the controversy surrounding junk bonds continues. Now, in Junk Bonds, business professor Glenn Yago turns the tables on conventional wisdom about this new financial technology. He offers the first systematic examination of the facts about high yield securities. His analysis provides hard evidence that demystifies junk bonds and explodes many of the popular myths that surround them. Junk Bonds sheds light on the role of high yield financing in what Yago calls the democratization of capital. Before the advent of junk bonds, only companies with an "investment grade" rating--five percent of the American companies with sales over $35 million--had access to long term capital. In effect, the author argues, 95 percent of American companies were denied the means to finance growth and business development. Yago shows how junk bonds changed all that, breathing life into thousands of American companies that had been shunned by the capital markets. His research demonstrates that these "junk" companies outperformed many Fortune 500 firms in job creation, product development, sales, and business innovation. The real contribution of junk bonds, according to Yago, was to improve the productivity and competitiveness of American business by restructuring companies in the wake of the corporate conglomerations of the s and s. His findings show that divestitures by companies financed with high yield bonds were not necessarily destructive. Many sold-off units flourished as independent enterprises at a time when numerous "investment grade" companies stagnated or closed plants or fired workers. This restructuring of corporate America has enabled businesses to compete in a changing international environment, benefiting managers, workers, stockholders, and investors alike. Junk Bonds provides readers with a scholarly analysis that shears away the hype and hysteria that often accompany rapid change. And at a time when Wall Street is under greater scrutiny than at any time since the Depression, this provocative study provides a timely and thoughtful contribution to the debate surrounding junk bonds.
ISBN: , SKU: , AUTHOR: Ross, Ian Simpson, PUBLISHER: Oxford University Press, USA, Few would argue that Adam Smith was one of the great minds of the eighteenth century. He is perceived through his best-known book, The Wealth of Nations, as the founder of economics as a science, and his ideas about the free market and the role of the state (in relation to it) continue to influence modern economic thought. Yet Smith achieved even more as a man of letters, as a moralist, historian, and critic. The Life of Adam Smith, the first full-scale biography of Smith in a hundred years, is a superb account of Smith's life and work, encompassing a career that spanned some of the defining moments in world history, including the American and French Revolutions. Here author Ian Simpson Ross examines Smith's family life, education, career, intellectual circle (including David Hume and Francois Quesnay), and his contemporaries (the likes of Immanuel Kant, Voltaire, and Thomas Jefferson), bringing to life this great thinker and author. Readers will meet Smith as a student at a lively Glasgow University and at a sleepy Oxford; a freelance lecturer delivering popular classes on rhetoric; an innovative university teacher ("by far the most useful, and therefore," Smith wrote, "by far the happiest and most honourable period of my life"); then a tutor travelling abroad with a Duke; an acclaimed political economist; a policy advisor to governments during and after the American Revolution; and finally, if paradoxically in view of his strongly held tenets, a Commissioner of Customs coping with free traders in the smuggling business. But it his impact as a writer that continues to set Adam Smith apart today. The Wealth of Nations, published in , as the British Parliament was deep in debate about the American colonies, continues to influence modern economic theory throughout the world. Ross sheds new light on this classic work and on its meaning for today. And he also paints a vivid portrait of Smith's personal life, revealing a man of singular generosity of spirit, who believed that with wit and logic and sensitivity to our feelings, we might aspire to virtue rather than wealth, and so become members of a truly civil society. Upon Adam Smith's death in , a friend wrote of him, "Happy are those who at the close of life can reflect that they have lived to a valuable purpose by contributing, as he did, to enlighten mankind, and to spread the blessings of peace and liberty and virtue." The Life of Adam Smith illuminates the world of a man whose legacy of thought concerns and affects us all.

ISBN: , SKU: , AUTHOR: Roberts, Randy W. / Olson, James S. / Olson, James N., PUBLISHER: Free Press, In late February and early March of , the Mexican Army under the command of General Antonio Lipez de Santa Anna besieged a small force of Anglo and Tejano rebels at a mission known as the Alamo. The defenders of the Alamo were in an impossible situation. They knew very little of the events taking place outside the mission walls. They did not have much of an understanding of Santa Anna or of his government in Mexico City. They sent out contradictory messages, they received contradictory communications, they moved blindly and planned in the dark. And in the dark early morning of March 6, they died. In that brief, confusing, and deadly encounter, one of America's most potent symbols was born. The story of the last stand at the Alamo grew from a Texas rallying cry, to a national slogan, to a phenomenon of popular culture and presidential politics. Yet it has been a hotly contested symbol from the first. Questions remain about what really happened: Did William Travis really draw a line in the sand? Did Davy Crockett die fighting, surrounded by the bodies of two dozen of the enemy? And what of the participants' motives and purposes? Were the Texans justified in their rebellion? Were they sincere patriots making a last stand for freedom and liberty, or were they a ragtag collection of greedy men-on-the-make, washed-up politicians, and backwoods bullies, Americans bent on extending American slavery into a foreign land? The full story of the Alamo -- from the weeks and months that led up to the fateful encounter to the movies and speeches that continue to remember it today -- is a quintessential story of America's past and a fascinating window into our collective memory. In "ALine in the Sand," acclaimed historians Randy Roberts and James Olson use a wealth of archival sources, including the diary of Jose Enrique de la Pena, along with important and little-used Mexican documents, to retell the story of the Alamo for a new generation of Americans. They explain what happened from the perspective of all parties, not just Anglo and Mexican soldiers, but also Tejano allies and bystanders. They delve anew into the mysteries of Crockett's final hours and Travis's famous rhetoric. Finally, they show how preservationists, television and movie producers, historians, and politicians have become the Alamo's major interpreters. Walt Disney, John Wayne, and scores of journalists and cultural critics have used the Alamo to contest the very meaning of America, and thereby helped us all to "remember the Alamo." Acquista Ora

ISBN: , SKU: , AUTHOR: Nakhaeizadeh, Gholamreza / Taylor, C. C. / Nakhaeizadeh, G., PUBLISHER: Wiley-Interscience, The interface between statistics and machine learning (ML) is an increasingly popular research subject, as scientists and statisticians discover useful areas where these disciplines overlap. ML deals primarily with learning rules or structure, and while some books on the subject exist, this volume is the only one to integrate ML with statistics. It explores new areas where theory and methods can be shared and demonstrates the benefits to those working in either discipline. Written by leading experts in both fields, Machine Learning and Statistics is a result of the authors' participation in the European Conference in Machine Learning. This important collection of contributions was adapted from conference workshop material and reworked to address readers of diverse backgrounds and skills. For newcomers to the field, a thorough introduction surveys the various topics and supplies numerous references for further reading. The book's main focus is on classification, the most common area of intersection. The classification process uses information about a new example to assign the example to one of a known number of classes. Such methods typically involve a rule learned from an initial set of data, which is where ML comes into play. Other topics covered include prediction, control, and an introduction to methods of knowledge discovery in databases--a skill that has become especially relevant with the explosion in large-scale databases. Timely, practical, and innovative, this book offers a number of new algorithms and draws on real-world examples including financial and medical applications. It also includes two chapters on loans/credit applications that help identify bad risks and good customers--useful for those working with credit scoring and bad debt analysis. Machine Learning and Statistics is an invaluable resource for researchers involved with artificial intelligence and ML in academia, government, or industry, as well as those working with pattern recognition in statistical departments; for students at the graduate level who seek to expand their horizons; and for anyone who would like to learn more about these cutting-edge methodologies. The first book to explore the theory, methods, and applications of the relationship between machine learning and statistics. Here is the first book to address the growing demand for applications that integrate machine learning and statistics. The only text to focus on the interface between the two disciplines, this volume explores a mutually beneficial relationship that is fast becoming recognized by scientists, engineers, and researchers in data analysis and intelligent systems worldwide. The book shows that machine learning shares several areas of common research with statistics, most notably classification, prediction, and control. It demonstrates that statistical and probability methodologies can be applied in developing different machine learning algorithms and that these algorithms can

In his most exuberant book yet, Richard Powers asks us to consider the big questions facing humankind as we begin to rewrite our own existence. " Powers'] cerebral new novel offers a chilling examination of the life we're reengineering with our chromosomes and brain chemistry... Powers sticks so closely to the state of current medical science and popular culture that this isn't so much a warning as a diagnosis. And as with any frightening diagnosis, you'll be torn between denial and a desperate urge to talk about it... With "Generosity," Powers has performed a dazzling cross-disciplinary feat, linking the slippery nature of 'creative nonfiction' to the moral conundrums of genetic engineering. Although you might expect a novel so weighted with medical and philosophical arguments to flatten its characters into brittle stereotypes, ultimately that's the most impressive aspect of this meditation on happiness and humanness. As "Generosity" drives toward its surprising conclusion, these characters grow more complex and poignant, increasingly baffled by the challenge and the opportunity of remaking ourselves to our heart's content."--Ron Charles, "The Washington Post Book World" "For the past 20 years or so, Richard Powers seems to have been engaged in a prodigious attempt to redress the imbalance of knowledge that was the subject of C. Meridian Explorer Dac Audio USB Digital media form an increasingly popular source of entertainment, with superb ease of access. Now there’s no need to compromise quality to achieve that convenience. Explorer is the size of a USB stick, yet embodies the same style and performance as any other Meridian product. SIMPLY LISTEN Explorer replaces your computer’s sound card with a USB-powered DAC (Digital to Analogue Converter) featuring Meridian’s high quality audio circuitry and design derived from Meridian’s award-winning Reference Series components, along with a powerful headphone amplifier with on-board analogue volume control. Whatever your choice of content – iTunes, Spotify®, YouTube® or a High Resolution downloaded file, Explorer makes it sound its best. Simply by plugging it in and listening with it, you’ll experience significantly higher sound quality. Asynchronous USB Audio Class Compliant 2.0 HS 480Mb/s for best-in-class performance Highest resolution on the market (24-bit/192kHz) 192kHz fixed & variable analogue and 96kHz optical outputs 6-layer circuit board with audiophile-grade components throughout USB-powered; plugs into any computer with a USB port As with all Meridian products, our goal in developing the Explorer is to help you enjoy the music you love with the very highest quality playback, without compromise, using innovative engineering and technology. Inside the Explorer Audiophile music-grade electrolytic capacitors decouple the analogue audio stages, significantly improving the quality. Indeed, an enormous amount of careful design work has gone into the analogue circuitry of the Explorer, of which those capacitors are just a part. A significant proportion of the 6-layer circuit board is given over to analogue, not digital, circuitry. Attention to detail Explorer comes with a short USB cable instead of plugging straight into the computer like a dongle: there’s no danger of damaging the computer motherboard if you accidentally walk off with your headphones on. Instead of a plastic box, Explorer has a sturdy aluminium enclosure, reducing noise and interference as well as allowing it to withstand life on the move. Analogue volume control Most DACs simply alter the digital signal going into them, so the quieter you listen, the lower the quality. Samyang 35mm T1.5 AS UMC VDSLR LensThe Samyang 35mm T1.5 AS UMC VDSLR lens is afast, wide angle, manual focus prime lens for full frame cameras, or afast standard prime when used on APS-C/DX sensors, available mounts forCanon, and Nikon fitThis VDSLR (Video DSLR) version has beendeveloped primarily for professional cine / movie making purposes. TheVDSLR version feature follow focus gearing and decoupled aperture, whichallow the user to smoothly and quietly change focus and aperture /depth of field whist filming, and link to professional follow focus camsystems. The Samyang is rated in T-Stops rather than F-stopswhich is usual for movie camera lenses. F-stop number expresses thespeed of the lens on the assumption that lens transmits 100% of theincident light. The T-number expresses the actual light transmission, which is more accurate, and is the standard in professional cine lenses. The Samyang 35mm T1.5 AS UMC VDSLR lens version is optically the same as the standard Samyang 35mm f1.4 AS UMC version. Producingsuperior resolution and sharpness throughout the image equal orexceeding lenses 3 times as expensive, the Samyang 35mm lens is truly aprofessional class lens at a affordable price.Suitable for fullframe and cropped sensors the 35mm focal length has universalapplications, the lens is bright / fast wide-angle lens perfect forlandscape, journalism and general shooting applications, including lowlight photography. When mounted on a camera with APS-C sensor, willbecome a popular, multitasking 50mm prime lens, perfect for generalphotography including low light photography.AT wide aperturesthe Samyang 35mm video lens provide beautiful bokeh, (the character ofout-of-focus areas) which is perfect for portrait type applications, orphotography where ultra smooth out of focus backgrounds or foregroundsis preferred. This technique helps to separate the subject from thebackground giving very pleasing and professional results in both filmand still photography. Aided by its 8 aperture bladed design, thesmoothness of the bokeh provided by the Samyang 35mm is excellent.Although bokeh character is a personal preference various independenttests and users rate the Samyang 35mm lens as one of the best lensesregardless of cost or manufacturer when it comes to its bokeh character. The optical design of the Samyang 35 mm T1.5 lens is twelve elementsarranged in ten groups and includes two elements with high refractiveindex, which helps reduces its weight and dimensions to a moderate levelfor a full frame capable lens. The inclusion of an aspherical opticalelement minimizes helps reduce lateral chromatic aberration, UMCmulti-layer coatings provides high contrast and faithful colourreproduction. The design incorporates floating lens elements allowing topreserve high image quality with minimum focusing distance. The focus ring features toothed rings compatible with professionalgeared follow focus systems available in the film industry and likewise atoothed, decoupled (de-clicked) aperture ring. Such modifications allowfor smooth and precise control over focus and aperture during videorecording / filming. This allows for ultimate manual control of focusand exposure when filming from one scene to another with different lightsource intensities, such as changing exposure values (EVs) from insideto outside, or even in-camera fade ins etc.The Samyang VDSLRversions can be used in still photography as well as for video purposes. There are increasing numbers of users using DSLRs for filming and HighDefinition (HD) video and manual lenses allows the user to change focus(focus pulling) and aperture during filming.Samyang 35 mm F1.4AS UMC has been designed with great emphasis on the smallest details toboth optics and workmanship, which place the lens among the bestphotographic products in its class.Supplied with front and rearlens caps, petal-type lens hood (which is reversible for transporting)and a soft lens pouch. Simply put, Anthem Room Correction quickly "corrects" the effects that reflective surfaces such as walls, floors and ceilings have on the sound radiating from a loudspeaker. Removing the effects of these obstacles allows your audio equipment to achieve a more natural sound in any room, as close to the lab standard as possible. On a more complex level, ARC is a proprietary digital signal processing software that works with a specially-engineered calibration microphone and your PC to quickly and easily optimize audio for your unique listening space. Anthem engineers developed the ARC system while researching how to replicate the audio-lab standard of performance in non-lab environments. This groundbreaking research was conducted in conjunction with the National Research Council of Canada, the Canadian government's research and technology organization. Anthem engineers realized that real world listening experiences had little in common with the controlled environment of the audio lab. That's because even the best loudspeakers are affected by room anomalies like furniture. These obstacles cause standing waves, resonances, and reflections that can color the sound you hear. Imagine the sound waves coming from your speakers as ripples on a water surface. That makes it easy for you to understand how the ripples of sound bounce off any obstruction they encounter. You can immediately see the benefit of removing the obstacles. ARC digitally compares a room's acoustic signature to that of the lab standard. It measures the response of each speaker relative to the listening area. Then it uses advanced algorithms to eliminate the negative effects of the obstacles in the room, adjusting response and correcting phase effects. When ARC removes the obstacles, what's left is the lab standard performance. Limitless music. App-controlled convenience. Wireless connectivity. Vignetting at corners may occur for certain EF-S lenses because they are designed to cover a 1.6x crop image circle but Sony NEX has a 1.5x crop sensor. 2. Requires lenses supporting distance information. 3. A third party zoom lens may need to be registered with the Smart Adapter first in order to detect its maximum aperture. Autofocus is disabled for most third-party lenses. 4. For example, some improperly-made M42 screw mount adapters may cause a short-circuit with the electronic contacts of the Smart Adapter and cause damage to the Smart Adapter and/or camera body. Autofocus Autofocus is supported, with the following known limitations. Autofocus speed is very slow and inadequate for most moving subjects. The autofocus speed is unfit for professional use for sure, and it would disappoint most enthusiasts. Only Canon-branded lenses introduced in or after are officially supported. Autofocus may be disabled for older Canon lenses and most third-party lenses, including most Sigma, Tamron and Tokina lenses and all Contax N lenses modified by Conurus. On NEX camera bodies in camcorder form factor (e.g. FS series), autofocus may be available only in photo mode but not in movie capture mode. Continuous AF is not supported. DMF mode (direct manual focus) is not supported. For non-camcorder camera bodies (e.g. NEX-7), during movie capture, if the subject moves to a different distance, half-press the shutter release button to re-activate autofocus and lock onto the subject again. Since autofocus speed is slow, there may be visible disruption in the resulting footage. The first two autofocus attempts are used to calibrate the lens and as a result may not lock successfully on the target. Half-press the shutter release button again and autofocus will lock successfully. Autofocus may have difficultly locking onto subjects which are very close to the nearest focusing distance of the lens. Autofocus accuracy depends heavily on the working condition of the lens. Lenses with hidden problems which may not be apparent on Canon DSLRs will lead to inaccurate and unreliable autofocus on Sony NEX. Typical problems of this kind that we have seen include an unsmooth/erratic autofocus mechanism (e.g. getting stuck intermittently at a certain focusing distance), a faulty/worn-out distance encoder or other faulty/worn-out internal sensors. Why Metabones? Since its inception, Metabones has been designing and manufacturing lens adapters recognized among professionals and enthusiasts as leaders in design and workmanship. Contrary to the popular trend of other factories using an aluminum ring painted black on the camera-body-side, we instead take no short-cut but use precision-machined brass with chromium plating on both the camera-body and the lens sides of our adapters, in order to ensure smooth mounting, great appearance, and durability. The lens side of the adapter features a strong leaf-spring structure, strengthening the adapter-lens connection and ensuring tightness of the lens in order to reduce wear and prevent focus errors and optical alignment issues from appearing. Metabones uses matte-black treatment to keep internal reflection to a minimum in order to maintain the maximum optical quality possible with the lens. All Metabones Adapters follow this tradition of uncompromising precision, robust build quality and outstanding finish. Our new Smart AdapterTM series of products add industry-leading electronic interfacing technology from Canada, with true electronic control of the lens', aperture directly from the camera body. Features Both camera-side and lens-side of the adapter are made of brass, precision-machined and plated with chromium. Satin surface finish - just like your OEM lens and camera mounts. Precise fit and solid connection - lens has no play, gap or wiggling when mounted on adapter and no adjustments are required to fit your lens. Designed to reach infinity focus while maintaining the correct registration distance required to maintain optical quality of CRC lenses or lenses with floating elements. Our Smart AdapterTM series adapters have the following additional features True electronic integration of aperture diaphragm - let camera automatically choose aperture in P or S exposure modes, or dial in yourself on the camera body in A or M modes. EXIF data such as lens identification, focal length and aperture.
