La Post-Produzione è la fase del processo fotografico digitale in cui i file grezzi (RAW), mediante software specifici, vengono elaborati per ottenere delle immagini definitive che soddisfino le esigenze di chi, per lavoro, diletto o altro le ha acquisite. Utilizzando i programmi più comuni come Lightroom (direttamente in Camera RAW) o Capture One a seconda delle necessità, la post-produzione in fase di editing è finalizzata a ottimizzare la mole di dati registrati nel file RAW dell'immagine, questi infatti permettono di intervenire sul bilanciamento del bianco, sulla gamma tonale, sul contrasto, sulla saturazione, sull'esposizione e molto altro semplicemente editando le informazioni raccolte dal sensore della macchina e non processandole attraverso gli algoritmi dei vari programmi di fotoritocco (ad esempio Photoshop).
