For sale is my rare sophisticated Zenith Respirator Luxe AF/P (high frequency/ precison) Day Date Tank watch with box and warrently. The watch is all original and in perfect condintion with the vintage Zenith crown logo. This watch is timeless and sophisticated and very nice as a dress and sport watch due to the size of the square/ rectangular case around 37 x 37 cm. Please notice the geometry of the metallic dial that reflects light on four directions. Very nice! About this name, Respirator, it comes from the French "respirateur" and is based on the way this case is built. There is a large gasket between the glass and the case that "breathes", meaning that as much water pressure increases the case is compressed, increasing the water resistance. It's a 70's design. There are Respirators, marked with a "X" on the dial, that do not "breathes", meaning that they are Respirators only by the name. This great watch comes with the famous and rare movement Zenith (Movado) 405 AF/P with BPH of jewels and a power reserve of 40hrs. A very fast ticking! Il Gigante nero, Grifone, raffigurava il truce saraceno e, nelle sembianze di una bella e prosperosa popolana, Mata,la Gigante bianca, era la sua preda. I due colossi di cartapesta vengono portati a spalla o trainati, danzando al ritmo di tamburi per le vie di località siciliane e calabresi in occasione di festività cattoliche, patronali o di altri eventi. I personaggi rappresentano e ricordano, allegoricamente, la conquista della libertà del popolo calabrese dai predoni saraceni e turchi che per secoli devastarono la Calabria apportando ovunque lutti e rovine. His studied brushwork and dignified portrayal of figures appear in Confucius and Two Disciples, a screen painting now in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. The extent to which his artreflected the taste of the military rulers of his day may be deduced from the honours bestowed upon him. At age 17 he was appointed painter to the shogun and given an estate in the district of Edo (now Tokyo) called Kajibashi, which became the name associated with his branch of the Kano school. He decorated the walls of various palaces and castles, including Nijo Castle in Kyoto, the shogunâ€(TM)s castle at Nagoya, and the Kyoto Imperial Palace. Ironically, although his vocation was as a movement-builder, his book alone sparked no movement; it did swiftly result in policy -- President Johnson's War on Poverty -- though without the focus or level of funding found in European welfare states that Harrington, a former Catholic Worker turned socialist, argued was necessary. Decades later, several European socialist leaders reputedly believed that had he been European, he would have been a prime minister. But since he wasn't, his life was lived in surroundings too small for his gifts. Sectarian politics swallowed much of his energy in the s, leaving organizational commitments and battle scars that crippled his potential to play a leading role in shaping the political movements of the s. Remarkably, Harrington bounced back to achieve great success in the s, with the Democratic Agenda movement, which crafted significant progressive planks in the Democratic Party platform. Isserman (If I Had a Hammer), a noted historian of the American Left, does an excellent job of drawing the reader in with Harrington's family background and early life, but there's too little exploration of his writing and of the conservative forces arrayed against him in the '70s and '80s for readers to fully appreciate the sweep and sophistication of his intellectual vision or his capacity to adapt. Still, this is a valuable and intriguing look at a major figure of the American left of enduring influence.
