solo contatti telefonici @@No watshapp - No email - No sms@@ Il disco è doppio -la versione in vinile ha due brani in meno rispetto a quella in CD- ed è relativo alla line up convenzionalmente chiamata Mark II (costituitasi per la prima volta nel ed in attivo fino al ) ritenuta da molti la migliore in assoluta mai avuta dai Deep Purple. L'album contiene le esibizioni di due concerti registrati dalla BBC per la serie live chiamata, per l'appunto, In Concert rispettivamente il 19 febbraio -la band fu chiamata all'ultimo momento in sostituzione di Joe Cocker and the Grease Band- (disco1) ed il 9 marzo (disco 2). Le composizioni presenti in questa corposa release sono di eccezionale livello e completano in un certo qual modo la magnificenza dello storico Made In Japan del forse il miglior live rock di tutti i tempi. Vi sono incluse, infatti, tracks di grande spessore e praticamente tutte le classiche pietre miliari di questa storica formazione tra le quali spicca naturalmente l'immortale Smoke On The Water qui, peraltro, eseguita per la prima volta in assoluto dal vivo. La band è in forma smagliante e nell'arco della durata dei due concerti sono numerosi gli assoli di chitarra di Blackmore e le spettacolari lunghe fughe delle tastiere di Lord. Eccezionale la prova vocale di Gillan che raggiunge il suo apice nella spettacolare e commovente Child In Time. La sezione ritmica formata da Glover/Paice è efficientissima e quest'ultimo si conferma come uno dei batteristi migliori dell'epoca. I brani, come tradizione dei full lenght live degli anni '70, sono dilatati spesso a dismisura proprio per consentire ai singoli artisti di esibirsi sugli strumenti per mettere in mostra la loro superba tecnica. Citiamo, a titolo esemplificativo, le versioni lunghissime della psichedelica Space Truckin' e delle emozionanti Wring That Neck e Mandrake Root due perle appartenenti al primo periodo dei Deep Purple.
