Si tratta di un ampio volume in folio (34x48 cm.) consistente di 32 pagine di testo e di 32 tavole con accurate riproduzioni fotografiche di opere pittoriche. Quella qui proposta in vendita è una copia dell'edizione sovietica, intitolata СССР ДРЕВНИЕ РУССКИЕ ИКОНЫ e interamente scritta in russo. Fatta eccezione per la sopraccoperta, che presenta qualche lacuna, il libro è ben conservato e non presenta fogli slegati, strappati o mancanti.
