Scultura in vetro di Murano del maestro Sergio Rossi
Vendo questa bella scultura del maestro vetrario muranese Sergio Rossi, comprata a Parigi alcuni anni fa. Sergio Rossi è tra i più importanti artisti del vetro di Murano. Un pò di storia: Sergio Rossi nasce a Genova nel , città nella quale il padre, Alfredo Rossi, maestro vetraio, gestiva un atelier. Due anni più tardi ritornò a Murano, l'isola natale, dove creò una nuova fornace. Dall'età di 10 anni, dopo la scuola, il giovane Sergio passa il suo tempo libero all'atelier come "servente" (apprendista). A quindici anni, lascia gli studi per consacrasi all'apprendimento dell'arte vetraria. Dal lavora nella sua fornace, dove crea e realizza opere anche per molti artisti di fama internazionale. Tra gli artisti che hanno frequentato il suo atelier troviamo nomi del calibro di Matteo Thun, lo scultore francese Cesar, Angelo Rinaldi, Ulisse, Do, Cesare Toffolo, per citarne alcuni tra i più conosciuti.
