La sfera a forma di gomitolo è stata costruita appositamente da un fabbro per uno spettacolo teatrale, che ha visto 7 repliche più altre piccole rappresentazioni. Alcune immagini si riferiscono proprio ad alcune scene dello spettacolo. La sfera è stata ricoperta di materiale dorato saldato con lo scotch; solo in seguito sopra questo strato è stata ricoperta di tessuto bianco. Entrambi mostrano segni d’usura. Le copertura sono rimovibili se interessa solo la struttura in ferro.
