UR44 è un'interfaccia audio USB2.0 dotata di una risoluzione audio massima di 192KHz - 24 bit e quattro preamplificatori D-Pre in Classe A capaci di offrire un suono trasparente e molto accurato. I quatto ingressi sui quali sono previsti i preamplificatori sono Neutrik di tipo combo. La loro particolare conformazione consente di utilizzare sullo stesso connettore cavi sia di tipo XLR che TRS. Per praticità sono stati installati sul pannello anteriore. Sullo stesso, sono presenti i controlli per gestire selettivamente il Gain dei quattro canali, l'alimentazione Phantom (+48) a gruppi di due (primo e secondo ingresso per il primo pulsante e terzo e quarto ingresso per il secondo pulsante). Sempre seguendo questa associazione, gli ingressi 1 e 2 sono Mic/Hi-Z, mentre 3 e 4 di Mic/Line.
