The articles cover gender and urban studies in different countries: Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, South Africa, Tanzania, and Zambia; and the study is multidisciplinary with contributions from sociologists, lawyers, architects, public administrators, geographers and activities. Matseliso M. Maptela is a Senior Research Fellow, and Acting Director of the Institute of Southern African Studies, National University of Lesotho.
