Natural Experiments: Ecosystem-Based Management and the

EBM entails collaborative, landscape-scale planning and flexible, adaptive implementation. But although scholars have analyzed aspects of EBM for more than a decade, until now there has been no systematic empirical study of the overall approach. In "Natural Experiments, " Judith Layzer provides a detailed assessment of whether EBM delivers in practice the environmental benefits it promises in theory. She does this by examining four nationally known EBM initiatives (the Balcones Canyonlands Conservation Program in Austin, Texas, the San Diego Multiple Species Program, the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan, and the California Bay-Delta Program) and three comparison cases that used more conventional regulatory approaches (Arizona's Sonoran Desert Conservation Plan and efforts to restore Florida's Kissimmee River and California's Mono Basin). Layzer concludes that projects that set goals based on stakeholder collaboration, rather than through conventional politics, are less likely to result in environmental improvement, largely because the pursuit of consensus drives planners to avoid controversy and minimize short-term costs. Location:  Gibraltar Contract type:  Full time Closing date:  (Extended to 31st October)  THE ROLE The CRM VIP team is central to the growth of the company â leading all customer relationship strategy, communications and campaign execution. Your role will be to plan and execute customer-focused communications with top priority on our gaming products, to drive revenue, upsell, cross-sell and reactivation for our VIP markets (currently Germany, Austria and UK), for the VIP segment.  MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Take ownership of the VIP campaign planning with focus on gaming products. Implement the campaigns to achieve budget targets for your markets. Campaign definition to be based on VIP customers and data insights as well as business goals. Implement the Contact Plan using the wide variety of communication tools â email, SMS, push, calls and on-site. Campaign implementation to be tightly controlled, reviewed and planned to ensure adherence to timings and excellence in execution. Pull together all campaign elements â briefing (or writing) copy / creating offers/ briefing marketing support teams/ creating content / building communication method/ work closely with the VIP Campaign Executive, VIP Account Managers and the Games Team. Provide and analyse performance reporting (at campaign and customer level) to Head of VIP and other stakeholders, with a view to optimising commercial return and engagement on all communications. This should be on a weekly and end of month basis as well as on an ad hoc basis when required. Build and implement a long-term campaign plan focused on the lifecycle journeys (on-boarding, churned, potential VIP, potential upgrade, reactive ex-vips). Support execution of communication especially for the English markets. Design and deliver tests across all communications to improve engagement and impact. Adopt a test, learn and control approach to ensure continuous optimisation of results. Ensure thorough QA of all campaigns â following QA guidelines closely. Ensure bonus policy is followed at all times. Assist with VIP project and task initiatives as and when required â acting as a key support for the Head of VIP. Identify key opportunities to enhance the player experience and improve retention rates and profitability including cross sell opportunities. Work closely with the VIP Account Managers, Games Team, MKTO Operations, RTM, Country Managers, Creative, CRM and BI teams to ensure fruitful stakeholder management and collaboration. Take ownership of Campaign related incidents through to resolution. Ensure all communications meet advertising, regulatory and legislative standards. English speaker with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. German language would be advantageous. Min of 5 years gaming experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Highly proactive, creative and organised â able to manage a project from start to finish/ review. Ability to act on changing priorities - flexibility and openness to change are key. Strong analytical skills. Ability to analyze data and make recommendations. Strong reporting skills, create reports to analyse campaign results Ability to work in self-directed, fast-paced, results oriented environment.
