Pubblicata in tre lussuosi volumi illustrati, l'opera descrive con parole ed immagini i luoghi più incantevoli del Vecchio Continente. Le sue incisioni a colori sono di rara magnificenza. I migliori artisti dell'epoca (tra cui Harry Fenn, Thomas Charles Leeson Rowbotham, Myles Birkett Foster, Edmund Morison Wimperis) eseguirono i disegni originali. Le otto tavole qui proposte sono vedute tratte dai volumi di Picturesque Europe, impreziosite da una coloritura eseguita a mano. Vi figurano vedute di Venezia, Pavia, San Remo (2 tavole), Amsterdam, Monte Carlo e dei laghi d'Orta e di Garda. Le misure variano dai 19x13 cm. della tavola più piccola ai 18x26 cm. delle due tavole più grandi. Essendo già montate su passepartout, le incisioni sono pronte per essere incorniciate. Ecco uno dei dischi più storici della musica made in Usa, la prima grandissima perla di James Taylor: Sweet Baby James. n apertura degli anni '70 tanti cantautori incidevano le loro canzoni di protesta valutando ciò che li circondava e portando un contributo ad una società che stava radicalmente cambiando, Taylor non segue la tendenza, non ha alcuna intenzione di alzare gli occhi al mondo che lo circonda, ma si guarda dentro e plasma 11 meravigliosi ed intimistici pezzi. Un album che non deve assolutamente mancare sugli scaffali degli appassionati di musica e di vita di tutto il mondo. Da segnalare tra le canzoni: Semplice e commovente. "Fire and Rain", la meravigliosa"Sweet Baby James, "Oh Susannah" (scritta da Stephen Foster) qui proposta da Taylor a metà album, "Steamroller", "Country Road" splendida, coinvolgente ed incalzante destinata a diventare ben presto una hit e "Oh Baby, Don't You Loose Your Lips On Me"... per non dimenticare il finale di "Sunny Skies" e la accattivante e mutevole armonia della conclusiva "Suite For 20 G".
