Lo sguardo di Galimberti, che nel tempo si è guadagnato la qualifica di "instant artist", corre sulle architetture e sulle persone generando immagini a metà strada fra la pittura, il disegno e la fotografia. Le foto, infatti, sono il risultato di una serie di tecniche combinate: il frottage e il mosaico. Nel primo caso, il fotografo incide linee e segni sulla foto con un comune spazzolino da denti, stravolgendo così il senso dell'immagine o esasperando l'essenza di ciò che è reale. Nel secondo, scatta decine e decine di immagini dello stresso soggetto per poi creare dei mosaici che possono contenere fino a 170 Polaroid. Nato nel , Maurizio Galimberti ha esordito come fotografo autodidatta. La sua tecnica, straordinariamente versatile e di spicco nel panorama della fotografia contemporanea, gli ha permesso di esplorare i generi più diversi: dal ritratto al reportage, dalla foto di viaggio all'advertising.
