Nelle sere in cui il babau ci annera l'anima, e ci azzurra la malinconia. E arrossa il cuore, e ingiallocra la terra, e assola il sole, screziandolo di gamme inaudite. Questo Ensemble, fondato nel circa dall'incontro di Francesco Partipilo e Giuseppe Golisano sulla scorta della volontà desiderante di praticare la più ampia libertà e apertura alla grande tradizione della GREAT BLACK MUSIC. 720° è questo. Francesco Partipilo, sax tenore alto, soprano e percussioni. Giuseppe Golisano, clarinetto basso, sax alto. Ellenico nei tratti somatici e nel carattere, ma intriso di Great Black Music sin nelle midolla. Collabora con l'ottetto di Danilo Pala e Carlo Actis Dato. Arricchisce il quintetto la figura metamorfica e salda di nobilissimi intenti espressivi. Il trombettista Stefano Castellano. Un occhio a Don Cherry e l'altro all'altrove. Strabico di stile, Stefano Castellano è trombettista che offre la liricissima potente e asimmetrica tromba alle più diverse esigenze come FREE LANCE. E poi Fiorenzo Bodrato, uomo e musicista senza sguardo, o uno Zen-sguardo, ma che VEDE TUTTO e SENTE TUTTO. Ha prodotto numerose incisioni con decine di ottimi artisti, in una intensa attività para-720°, con il suo LokomotivKanarone Sestetto. Davide Fiale alla batteria. Uomo e musicista che stravede di natura e temperamento, e batte le pelli della sua, e nostra, gioia. E' free lance che pratica e condivide esperienze variegatissime e sanamente schizofreniche. Dal Funky, al Jazz, al Raggae, alla musica bandistica.. Si aggiungono, all'occorrer espressivo, sensibilissimi e coraggiosi musicisti quali: Marco Pezzutti ai flauti: amico e fratello più che musicista. Michele Partipilo al flauto e al misterico duduk. Guido Canavese al pianoforte, che NON esitiamo a definire prodigioso per generosità e sensibilità...
